On August 7, 2018, Wu Xiaojie, deputy district chief of Pinggu District, organized a special meeting of the 2020 Beijing Pinggu World Leisure Conference. The meeting asked Jinhaihu Town Heating Station Project to complete the preparation of the implementation plan as soon as possible, with investment, construction and operation services provided by Beijing Gas Green Valley Company.

The central heating project in Jinhaihu Town has an energy supply area of about 1.7224 million square meters. It is planned to build two new gas boiler rooms and a supporting primary network.

The orderly progress of the project is another large-scale Pinggu district heating project undertaken by BUGET after successfully completing the feasibility study and compilation of the " coal to gas" project of Binhe and Xinggu heating plants. The company will continue to complete the follow-up work of the project, strive to achieve the best, and contribute more to the heating in the central district of Jinhai Lake Town.
